Buzz Aldrin: "No Dream is Too High"
On the morning of July 16, 1969, at 9:32 am, Apollo 11 astronauts Buzz Aldrin, Neil Armstrong, and Michael Collins launch from earth in a 363-foot rocket that will use 7.5 million pounds of thrust to propel them into space and ultimately into history.
After one and a half orbits, Apollo 11 gets a "go" to head for the moon. Four days later Armstrong and Aldrin climb into the lunar module Eagle and begin the descent to the moon.
On July 20 at 4:18 p.m, the lunar module lands with only 30 seconds of fuel remaining. Armstrong radios "Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed." Mission control erupts in celebration. Armstrong and Aldrin become the first people in history to set foot on the moon. Something that was seemingly an impossible feat.
Buzz Aldrin went on to write a book called "No Dream is Too High", and this is the magnificent quote that we've included at the bottom below this breathtaking photo of Aldrin on the surface of the moon.
Below the quote is a card on which Aldrin has signed his name, "Buzz Aldrin" in his own hand, and in black ball point pen.
